You may have questions before purchasing a firearm. Many of the common questions we get asked every day are answered here.

Q-How do I buy a gun?
A-The laws on buying firearms are divided into two areas:

Handguns - To purchase a handgun you need a current NC driver's license and proof of a background check. This can be either a Pistol Permit issued by the Sheriff of the county you live in or a North Carolina Concealed Handgun Carry Permit.

Rifles & Shotguns - To purchase a long gun (rifle or shotgun) you need a current driver's license and a background check. This can be either a North Carolina Concealed Handgun Carry Permit or by having us call in a NICS background check through the FBI. This NICS check is usually instant, but on rare occasions can take longer.

Q-Do you have layaway?
A-We certainly do! You can layaway any gun, safe or accessory for up to 90 days with 20% down.

Q-Do you have financing?
A-Of course! We offer various financing programs through American General.

Q-What is a FFL?
A-FFL stands for Federal Firearms License. Anyone in the business of dealing in firearms must have this license to buy or sell.

Q-How do I sell my gun?
A-Federal, State and Local Firearms Laws are very complex and most people are uncomfortable or not sure of the legal way to sell a firearm to another individual. To legally protect yourself you can do two things:

1. Sell directly to us. This removes the gun from your name and we will legally find it a new home.

2. If you already have a buyer, bring the gun in to us and we transfer it out of your name and hold it for the new owner or transfer it to another FFL holder if it is being shipped out of town.

Q-I live in another state, can I buy a gun here?
A-Many people believe they can only buy firearms in their home state. The law allows residents of most* states to buy rifles and shotguns at dealers in other states. Handguns can only be picked up at a dealer in your home state.

To give residents of most states the largest selection of guns in the area, you can purchase a rifle or shotgun in directly in our shop. You can also purchase handguns from us and pick them at your local dealer.

For South Carolina residents, we have a special relationship with a shop in Rock Hill to transfer your handgun through or it can go to any other FFL holder you specify.

* Residents of some states with draconian gun laws such as CA, MA, MD, NY, NJ, IL and a few others can only take possession of any firearm in their home state. We can send any approved firearm to your FFL dealer there.
